Meet the Team

Sci4Us is comprised of hands-on and engaging volunteers as well as our trustee members.
Though we may have different roles within the Charity, we all work together to provide and enhance children’s STEM learning in the UK.

“I enjoy being able to make experiments fun, practical, relatable and applicable to all audiences. I feel science is for everyone regardless of ethnicity, socio-economic background or gender.

I have always had a passion for science. I first started volunteering at a primary school science club whilst still being at school myself, and my love for learning and teaching the subject has never waned. This led me to become a Science Tutor and registered STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) ambassador. I have taught/delivered science material ranging from school assemblies, taking science lessons and tutoring in schools up and down the country – and abroad!

Whilst undertaking my MSc in Natural Sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Psychology), I joined schemes such a ‘Team Up’, ‘Teach First’ and ‘Into University’, that were all focused around delivering STEM to school children from diverse backgrounds.

I have had hands on experience of teaching pupils of all age groups on science topics, and currently sit on a Governing board of a primary school in London.

At Sci4Us we help to increase children’s science capital in a fun and safe environment. We encourage children to remove any bias or misconceptions about the subjects, promoting a space where they can explore, learn and innovate!”

“Learning should be enjoyable and captivating, especially subjects like Science which has many hands-on activities and is actually a true reflection of what science is.

I have always loved working with children; initially volunteering at an After-School Club before developing myself as a Private Tutor. I am a firm believer in imparting knowledge to young children as I believe that everyone, regardless of your background deserves the chance to have access to opportunities that can better their lives.

My interest in Science especially Chemistry intensified because I was lucky enough to have a Chemistry tutor who made me see that science is very relatable, extremely useful and can be loved by everyone if you put your mind to it. After completing my degree in Chemical Engineering, I decided that I too would love to help children reach their full potential in a STEM related subject, with the chance of them then working in a STEM occupation.

What I love the most about tutoring is the fact that every child is different which means that every day I face a different challenge. How children interact, communicate and build relationships is something that I love to witness and knowing that Sci4Us could help unlock a child’s passion for Science, has made me more excited than ever before.”
