To celebrate Black History Month, Sci4Us will be hosting an Inspirational Black Scientists Theme Live Zoom Into Science Special on Saturday 31st October!
For 1.5 hours, children will have the opportunity to learn about the first open heart surgery, launch NASA shuttles into space, spray super soakers, create circuits and so much more!
Times of the Sessions
Please ensure that you read the below carefully and choose the appropriate session for your child to avoid any issues on the day.
- The session at 10.00 – 11.30am will be for children between the ages of 6 and 8
- The session at 11.45am – 1.15pm will be for children between the ages of 9 and 11
How will it work?
We will be using the Zoom App! Please note, that it is not compulsory for you and your child to appear on video. Please only do so if you feel comfortable 🙂
Although the experiments will be age appropriate, please can you ensure that either yourself or someone older can be nearby as there may be times when children may need some help or direction.
Posting and Packaging Details:
As soon as your child has been confirmed, we will send a Sci4Us Equipment Box straight to your house with all the items needed for the experiments. However, if you would rather not disclose those details, please let us know when completing the form and we will make alternative arrangements.
How much will it cost?
Each Sci4Us Experiment Box will cost £7.99. However, if you have 2 children participating in this or any of the other October sessions, you can purchase 2 boxes for just £12!
What does the price include?
- Your child receiving a range of experiments + a bonus experiment which will be delivered to them in a Sci4Us Experiment Box
- Engaging worksheets for the children to work through after the session, so they can apply what they have just learnt!
- 1.5 hours of us teaching the Science behind the different experiment, whilst building the experiments together
Is there a closing date to sign up?
We will be closing the sign up for each session as soon as we reach our maximum capacity! We like to keep our sessions small and intimate so children can really learn and benefit from the sessions. We have a maximum capacity of 5 children per session!
We will also be closing the sign ups 4 business days before the session begins to allow time for delivery. If there is still space and you will still want to sign up after this day, please note that the charge of the box may rise due to changed delivery.
